USF writes to EPO President on social dialogue and salary adjustment

The Union Syndicale Fédérale (USF), the largest federation of unions of the EU and international public service, has addressed a formal letter to EPO President Campinos expressing serious concern about the current state of social dialogue at the EPO and the proposed Salary Adjustment Procedure (SAP).

In its letter dated 26 June 2026, USF notes that the ongoing labour conflict at the EPO has already surpassed the worst episodes under the previous presidency, with more than 13,000 strike days registered in 2026 alone. USF calls on the EPO President to engage in genuine and substantive dialogue with SUEPO and to restore a salary adjustment mechanism that preserves the purchasing power of EPO staff, in line with commitments made to staff in 2020.

The letter has been copied to Mr. Kratochvíl, Chairman of the EPO Administrative Council.
